Have you tried swapping your clutch springs around,as I was informed when I fitted my clutch that the springs may have slightly different strengths and you need to swap them around to make sure that your clutch plates open up evenly and not at angle.I know with my old clutch it was ...

replaced all clutch plates frictions and steels, I was sold a performace clutch and was assured I will never have clutch slipping problems this is true the clutch holds well but the growl at take off is concerning. I did not remove or do anything to the inner or outer clutch basket

just joined forum, have also just got back into bikes over the last couple of years all Ducatis at the moment I have a 1977 900SS, 1981 900SSD and a 1969 350 scrambler and constantly on look out for more

1977 900SS

I have just replaced a slipping clutch,all went well for the first few rides but now has some sought of bearing? growl at take off in first gear can anyone suggest what this might be
