FYI,

Here is where I ended up. Took a 10 mile ride, and performance was good, and reading spark plugs showed I was at least close.

Slide: 70/1 (OEM = 60/1)
Main Jet Front Cyl: 145 (OEM = 148)
Main Jet Rear Cyl: 152 (OEM = 155)
Needle: K5 (Same as OEM)
Atomizer: 265 (Same as OEM)
Pilot Jet: 75 ...

Yeah, they are the anodized slides.

And yeah, they are probably 41.5 mm dia.

Picked them up from the guy I bought the LS from for $100.

At this point, based on the type of riding I do, I don't plan on installing them on the bike.

For me, its the lack of an idle screw and an accelerator pump ...

Laguna Seca Race Carb or OEM?

I have 2 sets of carbs for my Laguna Seca.

OEM and race.

Both Dellorto. OEM is PHM40, race is PHM4D

What does the race give me? Is it really very much better?

I am reluctant to use it because it does not have an acceleration pump, or an idle speed adjustment screw.

I would guess that Idle ...

Dellorto adjustment for altitude

I've moved from sea level to 8000 ft, and need to re-jet. I have a Laguna Seca with a Dellorto PHM40.

(I tried dropping the needle one step and that was no good. Then - duh - read the Dellorto tuning manual and they say "reduce the jet size")

I went to a bunch of local shops.. no one is familiar ...
