Re: Ducati Brio 100 almost finished

Did you have this displayed at an International Motorcycle Show recently? I saw photos of one on a Facebook page. Looks great. How does it perform?

Re: How to compress piston rings. STRUGGLE

Oil compressor and/or piston/rings, slide compressor over piston/rings, tighten until you think it can't go any further, hold assembled mass tight against cylinder, knock piston assembly into cylinder with soft faced mallet.

Narrow (or wide) case shock lengths

I just bought some shocks that I thought were the right length. This, while understanding that some people can't read a tape to save their lives. Anyhow, they are shorter (295 mm) than the ones on my 250 Monza and the spares I've had for years which are 305-310. Not a giant difference but, different...

Re: Retroactive skepticim re NCR bevels

there are lots of comments that are both valid and invalid in this thread. I will not comment any particular one since I've never dealt with a Duc bevel racer. I did, however, make my living for many years working on race cars. Whether one that was built by the team (IMSA GTU sportscar; start of my ...

For Sale: Narrow case engine stand adapter

need to make some space in the garage. thinking of selling off my automotive engine stand (that I've used twice in 25 years)for beer money. That leaves me with nothing to hold the adapter I made over ten years ago (and used twice). Hoping to get a bit more than just beer money. $75 shipped in the lo...

Re: narrow case gear selector box lubricant

that had crossed my mind. Might need a light (light!) coat of Hylomar on the halves to keep it from seeping out over time but, I think it would fit the bill.

narrow case gear selector box lubricant

I admit that I haven't dug into my library for the answer but, what is the preferred lubricant for the guts of the transmission selector box? I have mine out/apart and want as smooth a functioning, longest lasting shifter as possible.

Re: Someone might get a chuckle from this....

no chuckling here. you could save it with a die grinder, Dremel tool, some files, and a bunch of time. or, cut it off and (properly!!!) weld on a newly machined end.

Re: What will follow the 1198?

Now that the 1198 has been released at the recent EICMA motorcycle show what will follow these new models? The factory didn't do what I thought they would do. The 916 increased steadily in capacity for nearly 10 years but now there has only been the single jump to the WSBK capacity. Will they ignor...

IF (if) his bike really is a '65 and the 160's of that year originally had the square body bits (I thought that was only '66 and '67), he is looking for bits like

Narrow case Veglia speedos

I need to either send my original speedo out for restoration or buy a new one. I found new ones on ebay but I don't know if all the Veglia's are the same internally. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200547807855&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Will the...
