Ah yep it all makes sense, will strip it down over the next couple of days. I see you're selling sprag bearings at a very good price at the moment, so will order one plus any other bits i may need (gaskets)in the next couple of days. Thanks for your help Steve

Starter motor won't turn engine over

On my S2 Mille, first it was an intermitant problem but now it happens more often than not......the starter motor spins happily when asked to, but it doesn't engage with the engine. Any advice as to what could be the problem would be much appreciated.

Have made the decision to swap my bellmouths for oval K&N's for carby and engine reliablity reasons. Having got the filters, I now see on the rear cylinder I need a bend put in between the carb and the filter to make it fit in the sidecover. 1985 Mille S2 crankshaft issue

On my last ride it developed a serious knock and rattle. I stripped it down only to find a lot of slop in the front big end. My mechanic informs me to get a replacment crankshaft and conrods, he doesn't recommend buiding it back up and regrinding it as it wouldn't be as reliable.

How about Mobil 1, V-TWIN, 20W50 , I've got access to that?
If using a high grade synthetic oil, should I be able to go longer between oil changes?
