Using an ST2 stator in squarecase.
hi all, has anyone used an ST2 stator in a squarecase? After some searching here found that the round cases accept them but no mention of the square.
Just put a bid on one on ebay but in hindsight it might have been a bit premature.

Re: stator winding resistance
hi again. I had a similar problem once and if you are using a digital multimeter , go and get it a new 9 volt battery and you will see the numbers from the bike that you should. I did that recently and my static volts of battery went from fully charged at 14.8 vdc to 12.7 vdc. I then measured the ...

Re: top end noise
hi mate. i had the exact same thing on a 86o gt. sounded like a irregular tapping noise from the rear head. sorry to say, it turned out to be a big end. the easiest way to tell is whip off the front cyl and barrel. if the piston is scored and has shiny bits in the skirt, big end.

Re: Pressing a V Twin crank
hi chris. i have just done this on a 860 gt and you will definitely need the 20 ton press. , a little tip, make sure you get ann engineers square beforehand and scribe a line accross both webs somewhere so when it comes time to press together you have a decent starting point for trueness. then, dont ...

Re: MHR alternator
well, after a bit of research and experimentation, i have found some earlier roundcase bevel diagrames with the 3 wire alternator , and they either connect the red with one of the yellows, or the red to the battery cable which also plugs into the reg. i have tried both, and now get minimal charge ...
