Re: Gt tank painted

Beg to differ Steve, I believe the ebay bike being a late `74, is the original paint scheme. Most probably was one of the last/later GT 750`s, and looks like Guido has painted it in the same vein as the black and gold 860`s of `75. you seen those ones Steve? ;)

I reckon it is a 1966 Ducati 250 MK 3. I have one myself, almost exactly the same. Very similar to Mach 1, but with a few small differences, seat, triple clamp and engine internals(cam?). I believe your bike might be missing its MK 3 side covers, although I think some MK 3`s did come without the sid...

Yes, I do believe some 350 Desmos had 450 M3 frames, and probably some of the 250`s as well. Also some of the 350 and 450 Desmos, often had DM 250 stamped on their lower cases, even though they had the 350 or 450 barrels. I have seen a few of these.
I hope that doesn`t confuse the issue more for you

I would say it comes from `73 750 GT or Sport, and it could be either a frame or an engine number.

Would anyone of you fellows who have changed the alloy (FPS) wheels for spokes, be prepared to sell me their rear FPS rim, for my 82 900ss. I am in desperate need of one FPS rear, as I have sheared all my bolts on my cush drive. I am in Sydney and would appreciate any help. Thanks
