I did my apprenticeship on those suckers. I bet the coppers thought you'd stolen the car! :lol: .
Mate, got a problem- not sure how to fit the SS in my backpack for my trip to Perth in June, any ideas ?

K-Mac,
When I did my '77 750ss I spoke to the dude at Ikon and he recommended 7610-1250, so I went with those.That was this year, I'm 90kilos and got 'em on the lowest setting ,they seem to work just fine! :-D . Cost was $475 delivered to ACT.

don't know what it is with my picture host they seem to drop in and out, I noticed that yesterday.

The SS was a total nut and bolt rebuild,(don't like doin' things by halves), so its a bit of a mystery why this ...

Yeah this is my rebuild/Resto, can be seen in bevel twins photo gallery under "My first Bevel".
I was goin' for brekky, 'bout 40 ks away but when I went to wheel it outa the shed the lever pulls into the bar, so somethin' else to test my patience-F*%#$.
Gonna chase up some kits ...

Caliper question.

Much to my dismay I find I've got no front brakes!

'77 750ss, with twin bleed calipers. Are these FO8 or FO9 and what would the piston size be.
I've found fluid dripping from L/H caliper looks to me like kit time.
Worse thing about this, is the bikes only got 1200kms up, and now this ,oh well I ...

G'day folks,
I'm sure someone can help me here. '77 750 ss, okay not exactly a roundcase but all I'm chasing is torque settings for the SS.the workshop manual has very minimal stats and does not cover the area I'm working on- rear sprocket-just at the moment, or is there some general settings for ...

thanks for lookin' and the kind words. Of course I'm as pleased as punch with the results. At the bottom of the pic is a caption (only took 4 months over nine years!). The bike was purchased in June '99 so slowly and " not so surely " did I dive into attempting this 'rebuild' as I call it ...
