Yes i agree a huge improvement is worth the investment.my springs etc are 35 years old..but bike still handles well...when i jump on my old Bonnie i appreciate duke design more.does your kit replace all internal fork components Steve?

Have the old girl on the road and running well now and looking good after repaint but fork seals need doing again so I figure its time for a fork upgrade as am still running original springs...I see on the forum talk of Steve's fork kit and am thinking this may be the way to go. 78 900ss rear shocks
I have Koni rear shocks and they are getting tired..I would prefer to have them rebuilt if possible..but if not what ia a good replacement? Any clues?

Thanks for the advice - I replaced the ignition switch and that seemed to fix it.

Thanks for your advice - I may have to send it off to have it done. But I was really after the upholstery pattern so I can maybe get it made up here in Darwin - its a solo seat for a 1978 900SS. Ive never had a solo seat on it so I dont know the pattern or even how the whole seat fits into the ...

Thanks for the advice - I didnt think about those two - wiring from the stator is rather old and original! Will also check the feed to the coils. I have also ordered a new ignition switch - I remembered that it did similar things years ago and I replaced the ignition switch which fixed it.

Thanks for that Kev - I used Penrite HPR50 in my Bevel for many years in Darwin - unfortunately the local supplier closed down so I couldnt buy it locally and turned to Valvoline. Hi
The old girl is getting there at last and goes and looks great - I live in Darwin and its very hot for 5 months of the year - whats the latest with engine oils ?- I always used a Valvoline multigrade oil but Im being told that synthetics are now the go. Any ideas/recommedations?
