looking at when posted this little did i know that it would take so long to remove the exhaust ring well after following the advice on here it finally came out with no damage to the threads ended up using a 2ft stilson a chisel and hammer and lots of heat . the only thing that delayed me was my lack ...

well the latest on the stuck exhaust ring is it did come out with a two ft stilson. chisel and hammer . and lots of heat . no damage to the threads

the latest episode of the stuck front cylinder is after round 6 the nut has won all the rounds now i have used a second spanner loads of the lobes are now missing now its going to be a lot more heat some more plusgas and a pipe wrench .

after round 1 the exhaust nut has won so far but thats only round 1 . as the exhaust ring has quite a few fins missing (previous owner tried using a bmw spanner on the ring) i have the correct spanner but cant get sufficient purchase with the spanner . would i be better off removing the ...

hi all
due to my failing to remove the exhaust ring nut on the front cylinder i have to remove it . i am led to belive that there is no head gasket on these engines (or am i wrong) so what is there and what do i need instead .

got it now its the front exhaust gasket all i need to do now is get the exhaust ring out of the head .been putting off doing it but now it needs to be done i have been squirting release fluid up between the ring and exhaust . i have the correct spanner and have been giving it a good hit with the ...

at the bottom of the breather tube is there/should there be a seal/o ring because after a run there is a slight oil weep from that area.
