I don't trust the plastic dash board to support the tach and speedo. I've seen too many that are broken.
Until I can find something better, I have found some over-size O-rings at an Ace hardware store. The rubber is definitely a higher durometer than the stock rings; but, you can order them in a ...

Re: Tach & Speedo support rubber ring
Steve,
What you referred me to is not what I am looking for. I am looking for a soft rubber O ring about 3 inches in diameter with a 3/16" thickness. Two of these rings support the tack and speedo beneath the dash. There are eight little stops spaced around the ring. The ones that I have appear to ...

Re: Tach & Speedo support rubber ring
Rick,
Thanks for the info.
I have unsuccessfully looked at Bevel Heaven for this item. Perhaps Steve will see this and offer a suggestion.

Tach & Speedo support rubber ring
Where can I find the rubber rings used to isolate the tach and speedo from vibration?
The ones that I have are 40 years old and at end of their lives.
I have a '73 Ducati 75 GT. The rings are about 3 inches (76 mm) ID and the ring material has a diameter of about 0.200 inch (5 mm). The material ...

Lockheed MC & Caliper
I have a 1973 750 GT with Marzocci leading axle forks. The original Lockheed caliper seems to be OK but the master cylinder is leaking. Are there rebuild kits available or do I need to upgrade the caliper and master cylinder?

Brake questions '73 750 GT
I would like to replace the brake line on my '73 750 GT. It has a Lockheed master cylinder and caliber. I would also like to replace the brake pads and get rebuild kits for the master cylinder and caliper. I only have been able to find these parts for Brembo brakes. Are they interchangeable?

Re: Remove 900GTS rear brake shoe springs? HOW?
As a metallurgist, I can tell you that any time that you bend (plasticly deform) iron based alloys (spring steel, in this case) to the point of permanent change of shape, you are injecting microscopic damage in the form of increased density of dislocations in the crystal structure of the metal. This ...

Re: '73 GT speedo drive problem
I will order some in my next order unless you can add some to my last order from you.
I think that we are going to have a long customer/vendor relationship. Looking forward to it.

'73 GT speedo drive problem
I broke the speedo drive washer that is located between the fork and speed drive. I tried replacing it with a washer with a 19 mm hole that seems to fit correctly over the axle diameter but smaller that the stopped shoulder of the axle. After I have assembled the wheel and push the bike, I notice ...

Hello from Michigan
Hello all. I own a 73 GT that I have been restoring from the ground up for the last ten years. Just about done now.
I have been working in different states since 2006 just getting home once a month for a few of days each visit. Hard to find free time to work on the Ducati. Well those days are over ...

The ignition seems to work OK. The reason for the backfire that I mentioned was the original Amal carbs that were badly worn. The problem I am having now is because I have replaced to original worn out Amal carbs with 30 year old Dellortos. I think that Steve's suggestion to replace all the seals ...
