Just completing the MHR rebuild but my ignition switch wire colours don,t tie up to any manuals I can find
I have red,yellow,brown and grey
Anyone know the switch position?

I'm after some pictures of the original brackets for the standard Mille style fairing.
I intend to just fit the top half and run the bike like that.

Well after a long time waiting my new top half fairing has rolled up for the MHR. When I bought the bike it had been fitted with a SS fairing
What I need is some photos and dimensions of the mounting brackets.

Has anyone any experience of straight cut primary gears in there twins.
I know a company in the UK used to make them.
It seems a good idea to remove axial thrust from the crank and gearbox by going to straight cut gears.

My Sport has 15T front and 36T Rear and I find it to low geared.
Whats the standard gearing ?
Will A 16T front fit and clear the cases OK?
Does anyone use a Oring chain and does it clear the cases.
Any help cheers.

I have just picked up a 1977 SS thats been in a shed for 18 years.
I am going to get started on the cycle parts first and was after paint codes for the Blue and Silver.
Is the frame the same colour silver as the body work?
I want to get the stripes painted on so could some one take some photos and ...

Well as I thought it was to rich I wondered about the chokes and ended up changing the choke pistons for new ones.
This has sorted 95% of the issue and before I go any further I am going to re-balance the carbs and see if that cures the slight hesitation I still have.
I will keep you posted.

After some info guys, my friends MHR has had a low speed running issue that we have diagnosed as a faulty coil.
What alternatives are there to the OE Nippon Denso?
Also what complete ignition systems are available?
Any info would be of help.

On my 1985 MHR the charge light is staying on. It is very dim and can hardly be seen in sun light. The bike has a new battery and is charging when I checked it with a DVM to a max of about 14.3Volts.

Thanks for the info, I agree I have never found much of a change when fitting K&Ns before so there is probably something else going on, so while I'm pulling the carbs apart I thought I would check everything.

My sport has developed a flat spot just as you open the throttle, I have just fitted K&Ns
I know it's running rich so before I get to involved with pilot jets, pumps, etc I wanted to check the carbs are set standard and not played with.
I can't find the info so can someone point me in the right ...
