Do you need the first version (high end) or the later flat version ?

your question is not so easily answered. It depends if you have a GT until around mid 1974 with Scarab brakes or a GT with Brembo brakes.
Also it matters for the Scarab (or earlier Lockheed) brakes, whether you have the European or American version.
On the European versions with Scarab ...

the numbers seem to match. I have got a 1975 900SS with similar numbers (engine 086232, frame 0757xx). If you can buy this bike at a reasonable price, you should not hesitate. If you want me to assist you to verify how original the bike is, let me know - I really know these bikes in detail ...

Of course the 1981 model had side covers ! only the few 1979 and some 1980 MHR's did not have them.
