If you find anyone your very lucky. I have been trying for two years to find someone to work on my 71 450 R/T Desmo. Can't even get the local Ducati dealer to work on it. Don't know what to do. Good luck,Ron

Buddy of mine in Wisconsin had one made for his 450R/T. It works great. He lent it to me and the machine shop didn't really charge him that much to make it. Try that avenue.

Hey Hugh, I have a 71 450 R/T that hasn't been cranked in 13 years. I have tried different things and the most I get out of it is a sputter, once! I changed the wires under the flywheel and have a new carb. Nobody in the Nashville, TN area will even work on it. I may have messed the timing up or ...

ignition spark

I have recently changed the wiring from underneath the flywheel of my 450 R/T and can't seem to get the motor started. There seems to be plenty of spark as that it has bit me a few times. The carb is brand new and it is getting gas. I have two petcocks on the tank and both are in the on position ...

450 R/T's

I have two 450 R/T's. One has had the frame and swing arm extended because the man I bought them from was about 6'3". I haven't been able to ride the bike because the wiring has decayed to nothing and I can't get the darn flywheel off to change out the wiring for new. Any help would be great. Thanks ...

Gaskets

I have a complete engine overhaul gasket set. It was bought years ago. If you tell me what gaskets you need perhaps I can have them made. I also have two 1971 450 R/T's, so I don't want to get rid of the set. The address on the envelope is Ducati Meccanica S.p.A. Casella Postale 313-40100 Bologna ...

Flywheel removal

Hello, I'm new to this forum and own 2 1971 450 Desmo R/T's. The bike is in great condition except the wiring. I can't seem to find anyone or anywhere that has a flywheel puller for this engine. I spoke with Steve and he told me that some people here know of a way to pull the flywheel w/o the puller ...
