I have some parts I am looking to get rid of. Make me an offer and pay for shipping and they are yours. Nothing show quality, but maybe what you need to get running.

1972 350 Road for sale (SOLD)

I am selling my 1972 Mototrans 350. I have replaced all the rubber pieces as everything was dried out when I purchased the bike several years ago. This includes fork and shock seals. It runs well but is difficult to start when cold. Once warm, it will start with one kick. A previous owner had ...

Re: Electronic ignition?

I also have a Mototrans 350. I don't ride it a lot, but I have not had to touch the electronic ignition in the three years I have owned it. The bike is hard to start when cold, but fires on the first kick once it is warm.

That one should have had electronic ignition stock. I have heard some complaints about them but mine works okay.

Glad I could help. If it ever stops snowing, I will pull the carb for a little maintenance. I will double check the jets and slide number then.

My Mototrans 350 has an Amal 930 fitted as stock. My owners booklet lists the jets as follows:

Atomizer 106 I think this is the needle jet
Diffuser 27
Main jet 250
Idling jet 25 I think this is the pilot jet

The engine could be Mototrans with the ignition replaced. My Mototrans bike says Made in Italy on the right cover. The small oval cover on the left has the Made in Italy removed. Mototrans bikes have a fiber gear for the oil pump instead of steel like the Italian bikes. The finning on the head is ...

I don't think I would use that method on the piston. Most of the electrolytes described are alkaline which could cause a lot of damage to the aluminum piston. Check out Tom Bailey's book ( available from Steve's store ) for info on freeing stuck pistons.

Can you post some pictures of the engine? The cc's should be marked on the cam bearing cap. Is there another number on the opposite case like DM250?
