Re: Choke splitter box location

You could fit flip up chokes. You won’t be able to use the one on the rear cylinder but the bike should start well enough on the front cylinder only. My bike has a hydraulic clutch so clearing the handlebar of controls is good as I’m not a OEM fanatic

Re: Setting of PHF 32 AD/AS on a 750 GT

That’s interesting my GT is undergoing a full rebuild but with sport pistons and a slightly hotter cam.

My Haynes manual gives different settings of 125 mj front carb and 122 rear

Anyone know why?

The needles are K6s

Should there be an adjustment for the higher CR. measured at 9.2. And the ...

Re: My GT engine being rebuilt

Go to Colmbres, easy enough to reach if you take the ferry to Santander, most rides are around 150 miles.

Re: carb tuning for 1974 Ducati GT750

A common point of failure for Delloto carbs is the rubber seal on the bottom of the choke

My GT engine being rebuilt

My GT engine is coming to thr end of a long and expensive rebuild, new crank and pistons, cams re ground to a mega am spec.
Compression ratio ending up to a measured 9.2. It should go well. Idea is to take it to the Colombres rally next year, but as I am recovering from a stroke, it’s in the hands ...

Re: Wiring Trispark regulator on 750 GT

Not much help from Trispark, this was their response, at least I now know that the alternator is called a split phase winding with a centre tap!
The charge control light is not an issue for me as it will be handled by a Monsoon charge indicator LED.

Hello Charles,

Thanks for your email. Your bike ...

I’ve sent an email to Tri Spark with your copy of the wiring diagrams, so interested to see what response I get

Re: Wiring Trispark regulator on 750 GT

Thanks for reply Craig……..

Looking at the diagrams it seems as if on the original regulator, the connector to the red wire is simply a pass through to the + terminal of the battery and doesn’t actually do anything within the regulator itself. As you say, worth a conversation with TRi Spark

Re: brembo and lockheed

I would suggest that the easiest way to remove the “ horrid wooden” braking from a 1970s disc equipped bike would be to use a 13mm mastercylinder. This is what works on both Nortons and BMWs from that era.

Re: FAQ - Exhaust Nut Thread Repair

For readers in the UK, Nigel Lacey ( who specialises in Ducati singles) will do this repair on all Ducatis, my 750 had been repaired badly in a previous life and looks good now.

Wiring Trispark regulator on 750 GT

I have a 750 GT with a new 200w three wire alternator (2x yellow, 1x red). I want to use a Trispark MOSFET regulator, Trispark say that I should ignore the red wire from the alternator and just connect the 2 yellow wires to the regulator.

What is the purpose of the red wire? I see it being ...

Re: Odd Darmah Clutch Cable Setup

It’s a bit difficult to see from your photos, but Pulleys are often used on clutch cables to give you extra leverage on the clutch and will substantially reduce the pressure you need to operate the clutch, the downside is that clutch adjustment is a tad more sensitive. These are often used on ...

Shock length GT750

What is the stock shock length on a 73/74 GT? Should it be just a tad under 13”. Any advantages in changing it?
