Hi,

I've questioned the mismatch with my local paint shop.

The code is correct, it was a binder problem.

Life is an eDUCATIon !

Cheers

Hi again.

This morning I attended to the green scratched paint on my fairing using the pre mentioned paint code, something is wrong somewhere as the match is a far lighter green.

I shall return to my paint shop in the morning, floods permitting, and try and work out what's gone wrong here, so my ...

Here are the equivalent paint codes:

Green: BS381C 277
Red: Suzuki Brilliant Red GSX 1100R

The paint shop owner did the matching for me taking the seat moulding as a reference.

The weather here in the UK is terrible at this time, so the outside light levels are quite poor so use this information ...

Mach 1 paint

Hi again,

Just returned from my travels.

Silver-Mercedes- DB744.70F
Red- BS539

This red is slightly more different to the original red, however, it does in my opinion enhance the bike. If anybody needs the original red code please contact me.

Hope this helps

I've just tried out the second attempt for the silver and its looks perfect, to my eye anyway.

I've not tried the red yet and I will be away on business before I get around to that colour, however:

You can get the codes from:-

J.P Supplies
Unit 11
Springfield Business Centre
Stonehouse ...

Mach 1 paint

I've just taken a genuine Mach 1 tank to a paint supplier local to me to get some paint for a complete 2K paint job. The tank has been inside out of sunlight for the last 30 years ish, so the red colour cut back to its original hue, however the silver had gone yellow.

Give me a few days and I will ...

Vin foil

Greetings from England.

I imported a Mach 1 a few years ago from Colorado which came complete with the headstock foil and for some reason the frame also had a number stamped into it just infront of the battery location.

During restoration of this bike I had to remove the foil and susequently went ...
