Looking through my parts manual I've found two frames available for Pantah 600 SL.
One is listed as 600SL the other is 600SL/A.
What's the difference?
As a matter of interest did the 500 frame differ at all from the 60?

Thanks Den!!
I've bled brakes on many machines and thought I understood things quite well...but after spending 4hours+ on my Pantahs brakes I was ready to burn the thing.
Followed your advice and had the whole thing done in 30min. The rubber band trick works a treat also.

Crank Case Breather
I've been thinking...... A dangerous thing at the best of times....
I've got my crank case breathing through a vertical 30cm piece of hose terminating with a small pod filter. This means the pressure that occurrs in the cases equalises with the atmosphere...
Is this the optimum arrangement?

How important is Valve lube?
With the removal of lead from petrol, how important is it to put top end lube additve to modern petrol for Ducati engines?
I've had 2 older car engines converted over to unleaded petrol by reco-ing the heads, running harder valve seats and revised valve angles but there seems to be no talk of this ...

Same problem
Steve,
I had the same problem...Could not find tourque values anywhere. There are vtorque values for the newer bikes at Ducati's home page ...some of these will apply
But yes...most annoying especially when it came to brake calipers, axle nuts, brake rotors etc...
There is a ton of stuff on the ...

Clutch
Don't know about the clutch set up...every 600 I've spied on the road has had an hydraulic set up.
Is it the case that some one has converted yours to a mechanical clutch in the past?
My parts and workshop manual specify a hydraulic set-up.
As an aside... Are you still in Aussie or are you ...
