Hi All
I’m hoping that someone here has installed the ELECTROSPORT ESR510 voltage regulator on an 1981 900 SS. I’ve wired it according to the diagram provided. Green wire to the neg battery post, Red fused wire to the plus side of the battery, two yellow wires to the two stator output wires, white ...

Neutral switch for 1981 900 SS
So my neutral light stopped working so I went looking under the cover. Switch was total frozen and inoperative. Found a new one and have run into the most confounding thing. The old one measures .230 so its 6 mm and the thread is either .80 or .75. The new one measures exactly .250 so 1/4' and what ...

Removing 900 SS Engine From Frame
Hi All
I thinking that this winter I will have my 1981 900 SS frame powder coated. The question that I have is whether or not the engine can be dropped out of the frame in it's whole condition. Anybody have any first hand experience doing this? Thanks

Re: 900 SS 40MM main jet size
Since the last conversation some time ago, it is my understanding that one of the differences between the PHM A and PHM B carb is that the B has a larger Venturi. It is my understanding that smaller venturi’s require smaller jets and conversely larger Venturi’s require larger jets, so I am confused ...

1981 900 SS COUGHING AT START UP
Hi,
I started my 1981 900 SS yesterday. It hadn't been started in some time. It fired right up but I noticed that just off of idle, once the choke had been released, that it was sort of hesitating and coughing. In order to stop it I had to engage the choke again. It sounded like the front cylinder ...

1980 900 SS Coughing when cold
I have been meaning to ask this question since early in the Spring here in the Northeast. Whenever I fire up my 1980 900 SS in cool weather, I notice that upon acceleration of the carbs that the engine coughs. Sort of like a mutted backfire through the carbs. I have to thoroughly warm the engine for ...
