Hi Craig,you might remember my coment about why my Laverda seems to have a 5 speed and everyone elses is a 6 speed,Jugs has found out why mine was so slow,inlet cam was 2 teeth retarded plus some other expensive bodges,I will be happy when its put right.

Hi Vince,

Yeh, Laverdas seem to attract bodgers. Or rather, the things are so strong that they keep running despite abuse which would make other marques - "No names, no pack-drill" - crumble :)

(My Corsa had bent camshafts, with incorrectly fitted bearing blocks and blocked oil ways. But quickly rectified by someone who knows what to look for, and no permanent damage done.)
