Completed 860GT Project

Post by animosity »

edit from admin - I moved this from the restoration forum to the photo gallery where it belongs - THANK YOU for taking the time to put this together and post it.... No "poo-pooing" from me `-*

Greetings bevelists,

After a few years of ownership, I've finally completed my 860GT project. My vision was to create the bike that Ducati should have made in 1975 (IMHO). The list of mods are:

- 750GT tank and covers
- 860GTS seat
- 860GTS instruments/dash (homemade 860GT dash insert)
- Custom rear guard and light/indicators
- Custom alloy front guard

Although it's going to be wearing the 750GT gear most of the time, I can revert back to the 860GT bodywork in about 20 minutes or so (excluding guards).

So there you have it. Although the Ducatisti purists will poo-poo these mods, I'm more than happy with the bike and how it looks.

Cheers!
