Might be a good idea to say where on the planet you are

Andrew,
I', no expert but when I came to restore a 1979 900 Replica with goldlines I was advised against re-anodising as the porosity of the casting would make this difficult to achieve a even colour,
I used Camcoat here in the UK for a specilaist coating which is brake fluid resistant and Peter there did me a great colour match having first done a sample on a piece of alloy.
Highly recommended but not cheap - would have been less money to buy new goldlines which are available.
