Do the transducer mounts get painted?

Hi, I painted the frame on my 78 900ss. I can't remember if the paint needs to be removed in the area where the Bosch transducers mount. For grounding purposes. Thanks

That part of the from was not painted , If you have painted the frame at those points why not just run some new earth wires direct from the battery

The last several Bosch pickup desire jobs I did either had a short pigtail ground wire from each inducer plug to one of the mount holes or in the case of late SD where there is a plug between inducers and pickups the grounds were much longer and attached elsewhere. On my original paint 1980 900SS the Bosch mounts are black paint same as the frame paint.
