Bevel tube oil leak

Post by idb »

Hiya
I have a friend (oh sure!) that has a MHR Mille.
It has developed a weep at the bottom flange on one of the bevel tubes.
Can this simply be loosened and lifted so that some gasket sealant can be smeared or does the motor have to come out?
Thanks

Ian

hopefully it is weeping from the front cylinder.....

easy fix, 4 nuts, pop off the head, pull the tubea, replace the oring and reinstall.

if it is the rear head, same drill but you gotta pull the exhaust, carbs, drop the motor, I mean swing the motor down so it pivots on the rear lower engine bolt and remove the head.

Thanks Steve, unfortunately it is the back cylinder - mind you its not my bike so I'm keen to have a crack at it for him!
Cheers Ian
