Cleaning engine corrosion
Cleaning engine corrosion
My SD had sat in a dry basement for years. The engine is more crusty than dirty.I saw steves advise on simple green for dirt and grime but what about corrosion? The white slightly crusty type that aluminum tends have build up on it.Its all over the engine, in the fins and underneath.Whats the best way to go about removing it and bring back at the very least, a dull clean look?

simple green is great stuff for cases [cast parts]
don;t let it dry out!!!
Yes polishes work well for polished cases to polish. Simple green isn;t a polish, it is a cleaner.
