Front brake master cylinder

Post by loon36u »

Is the cylinder rebuildable on a '74 750 Gt? I took it off today and can't see how to take the piston out. Any thoughts ?

Yes it's rebuildable. It's been so long since I did mine I've forgotten the fine details but IIRC you have to press the piston out the back of the MC. There's a ring that holds it all in place and you need to fabricate a tool to press it all back together.

FWIW I rebuilt mine twice and was never able to keep it from leaking. I ended up replacing it with a later style...
