workshop manuals and parts lists are available free on line-i have found parts list the most helpful as it gives you exploded diagrams of all parts

Gum, I would recommend the following Falloon books, available almost everywhere:

Original Ducati Sport & Super Sport
ISBN: 0-7603-0995-7

The Ducati 750 Bible
ISBN-13: 9781845840129
ISBN: 1845840127

Also:

Ducati Twins Restoration by Mick Walker
ISBN: 1-85532-304-4

Standard Catalogue of Ducati Motorcycles by Ian Falloon
ISBN-13: 9780873497145
ISBN: 0873497147

For technical info these two unfortunately out of print titles:

Ducati V-Twins Workshop Manual by Haynes Publishing Group
ISBN: 0-85696-259-7

Servicing Ducati Motorcycles 750GT/Sport & 860 by Cycleserve Publications (this covers exactly the same text, information, photos, and diagrams as the service booklet published by Ducati)
ISBN: 0-86889-032-4

You will have to search ebay and others for original owners book (red cover) and spare parts catalogue (blue cover). Expect to pay around $50.00-100.00 each depending on condition.
