transmission gear oil delivery

anybody familiar with a oil galley monification to supply more constant
oil delivery onto the gear stacks ???
what would you need to do it for ??? hard racing ???
Just wondering, someone mentioned it to me but they were not aware
of the process or reason ???

I remember reading somewhere years ago about running an oil feed from the cyl feed to the counter shaft through the case. It entailed drilling the shaft to pressure feed the bearing surfaces under the gears. I guess they had a problem with galling under racing loads. On my 900 race bike I never had any trans. lubrication issues,other than beat up dogs and the occasional pitting[poor hardening from the factory]. The crank throws an awful lot of oil when running and that keeps the trans cool and lubed.
