Hello From MA

Post by Purp1 »

Recently acquired a couple of Darmah's, a 1978 SD and an 1981 SSD. Unfortunately both in boxes but there are some hi points. The motor for one was professionally rebuilt by a local shop and is still in the crate provided for transport, turns free and is very pretty. Haven't run numbers but assume it was for the SD as it has kick as well as electric start. Other positve point is there are many NOS parts included, however intended to rebuild was serious. Wheels remain an issue one camp, one speedline and only one set between the two machines. Should be interesting project.

Many years ago helped rebuild a sebring but these are a completely different animal, actually still have the Sebring. Thinking of turning one bike into a vintage racer with mods. Will be looking for all help and advice I can receive.

Thanks all.
