Hi
Stumbled across these forums the other day & thought I should join - it's a very handy resource.
The next time the sun's shining I'll take a pic of the toys & post it

Finally got off my arse & took some pics
1981 MHR original except for mufflers - original Silentiums got binned at pre-delivery & Contis fitted, Contis gave up the ghost about 3 years ago & were replaced with Staintune conti replicas. Seat got recovered in the mid 90's. Marzocchis replaced with IKONs a few years ago (leaky originals in a box in the shed)
1985 750 F1 original except for exhaust - original Conti 2-1 gave up in the early 90's, replaced by Staintune. Ohlins at rear (original Marzocchi ina box in the shed), Malossi filters died in about 1987, replaced with bellmouths. Blinkers replaced about 2 years ago - 2 originals found hanging from wires when bike cover removed, stems had crumbled . Currently stuck in the shed while I source a 140/70 rear tyre.
1989 851 orginal except exhaust, replaced with Staintune high set with Adamo replica crossover (aka spaghetti junction) (original in a box in the shed), open airbox, light tidy up in the heads & chipped (factory) to suit.
Merry Xmas

They certainly cover 8 years of radical change at Ducati - away from the bare bones (it's got ignition spark, why do you want more electrics? era) rattlers into the modern electric everything, smooth era.
Maybe, I'm just getting old but the newer ones just don't float my boat - the 851 is only marginally a real Ducati - though it is fun

I know all about that. I've been shuffling my bikes around for years now as I've moved across the country and rebuilt a 150 year old house. I'm hoping to have the workshop completed next year.ducatibruce wrote:No worries - now we've finished the house renovations I might even get to ride 'em, rather than just shuffle them round the shed

Similar story here - though moving into a very small town & having these 3 arrive on a truck in the main street meant I had a whole load of instant new best friendsI know all about that.
