bm1 please mind your references to g1 as you are corresponding with g2.(G1 being the older, wiser, lower frame no. etc)
G1 & 2 are hopeful of introducing the black plague to sunny QLD in a couple of weeks, quaranteen laws permitting. Getting sick of logging onto the forum with there being no ozcrap. It rarely fails to bring a smile and my wife often wonders what crude jokes I am reading

The world is waiting for a magic bullet. Will the silver pill be able to do the job????? It has to get out of the garage first.

Steve- sandals without socks? You may get evicted from SA if you break the dress code!

Im enjoying Ugg boots with my shorts at the moment, ah tis the season!

Sorry ive missed you guys, have been travelling with work and out of the loop, Im back to enjoy the lack of sensibility!

Hey bruce, getting the machine out yet?
Steve i promise I will get you that measurement you so generously asked me to provide but I have so hopelessly failed to provide.

Welcome back Grant. The SS is up and running but after what everyone has told me about the Speedline wheels I'm afraid to ride it. I just push it around the yard instead.

Hey Steve,
Surely you could put kevin 07's Stimulating package toward the rebuild! Ha Ha! (Aussie in joke there!)

I do sympathise though, the most recent rebuild I had done on my NCR replica engine was approx $10k (without touching gearbox).
Must admit though its a mean son of a b%$*h and I think worth it having ridden it around now.

Just hurts badly when you fork out the $$.
I paid it off in installments as the build was begun so it seemed to hurt less.
I think it helps to be divorced as well!!

Good luck with it though.

Grant

Now Bruce, we are not talking Nova Scotian clams here or Canadian Peso's!

That amount included many goodies (straight cut primaries, flowed/large valve heads, stroked crank etc ), so i think $5k for a standard build may come close but Id budget $7k

We call them loonies here. Like the common loon (and the Australian dollar) our dollar plumbs the depths and rises up to the sky quite regularly. Its a common pattern with resource-based currencies.
