Right tool for the job, 75 860GT crankshaft& clutch

Post by rjk40 »

The 1975 Ducati 860GT, for those of you who might want to do work on the clutch, or ignition stator, uses the following
socket sizes on the crankshaft and clutch basket nuts:

Large nut, crankshaft left side over the stator and rotor: 36mm

Large nut, clutch basket, left side inside clutch basket : 30 mm

Hope this helps someone minimize wasted time searching for the right socket.

But then you need the pullers and holders. Steve to the rescue!
