cam follower plating

Post by Yosemite »

hi
the plating on the cam followers on my 1976 860 gt is flaking
can anyone recommend somewhere in the U.K. where I can get them repaired
would it be possible to repair them with stellite weld as done on brit bikes,
I don't want to run it as it is as I'm concerned about chrome particles damaging the rest of the engine

Thanks

Seeing as no-one else has jumped in ... :)

Been a long time since I've had to do that, so I've no current links. But here's an idea - try contacting Nigel at Lacey Engineering and/or Andrew Jones at Mdina. Either is likely to have a contact, and Andrew might even have the rockers on exchange.

HTH
