After several years of my 860 GT sitting under junk in the garage, i'm thinking of getting it running again.
One of the issues I had with it when it was running was the heavy clutch. it's all been rebuilt to the best of my capabilities (suspect) and I had a hard time riding it years ago. Time has not been kind to my hands, so I am considering a hydraulic conversion from MMS. IIRC these went off the market for a while, but seem to be available again?
Anyway, emailed Karl, but wanted to get some feedback from you all. Anyone install this? Huge improvement? How difficult is the install?
Thanks
Tom

Hunde - another approach that you could consider is extending (lengthening) the clutch actuator arm that the cable attaches to. That increases the leverage and lightens the pull in proportion to the increase in length.
I haven't done this myself but have seen some kits such as the one that Steve sells - "Extended Clutch Actuator Arm Kit - Bevel Drive Twins".

Vince - you could try cutting the arm and welding in an extension. I remember reading about this somewhere but can't find the reference - if I find it I'll update this post. The modification included adding a sleeve for reinforcement around the joins where the extension was added.
Cheers, Steve.

Re: MMS Hydraulic clutch conversion - 75 860 GT
I am happy to announce that I have bought the product from Karl as he has retired, and, we have just finished machining up all the bits to provide these excellent kits once more. Everything is being anodized at present, look for kits to be available in our shop mid December or there abouts.
