From Raptor buyer beware

Post by raptor »

 Due to the starting difficulties with my 350 n.c. I phoned Paul `clatty` in Wakefield for some on the chin advise . His views ,on the info told to him are , I will not be able to start easily or at all unless I weigh 20 stone and have a steel foot .This is due to the piston within ( very high comp ) it can be sorted by reducing the comp. by the fitting of a new piston . We are now talking engine rebuild work at a specialist :- £££££££. I bought this bike (now 2 mnths ago )the seller had built it to his spec and assured me it was sound, it is, the prob is it will not start , so the alluring parts of green/white cam ,T140 high comp piston are of no use at all unless your on the track and have an electric tyre spinner ,the seller was actually an old Ducati racer ( I should have known ) BUYER BEWARE .Raptor

What exactly is your point? "buyer beware" of what? Buying a high compression engine and not being able to kick it over sounds like your problem from what you are saying. Maybe you need to invest in some rollers or like others with a race motor - learn how to bump start your bike.

Using a "buyer beware" title to your post is confusing.
