Can anyone tell me how easy it is to change from right hand gearshift to left hand?

If your 860 is an early one[not Bosch ign.] it is as easy as replacing the shift spindle in the shifter box. The spindle is from a 750GT and is a direct replacement.I did the conversion on my 77 900SS and had to make some linkage and weld a tab on the brake lever to connect it. Being a rear disc set up all that was needed was to weld a bracket on the other side of the frame and mount the m/cyl. with a shorter hose and a re bent link rod.
A drum rear brake will present some problems but I think it shouldn't be too hard fab up an anchor for a cable and an attachment for the pedal.
