Improved valve guides?

I understand that guide life is an issue ,I have a GTS and am thinking of ways to increase life. As the gts has lower lift cams than other models does this mean there is the possibility of increasing the guide length?,what would be the minimum clearance needed between seal and collet at full lift?Is there any issues with geometry on these engines that needs correcting.Are there any seals more compact than standard?.
