Darmah Starter Sprag

Post by Grover »

Guys, yes I know Steve sells starter sprags in his shop, and thats where I will probly be buying mine because here in Australia the price is rediculous, but it has to be an auto trans sprag. I am thinking it would be out of a Euro trans built in the '70s as Ducati would'nt have commissioned a company to make a one off design. As I am in the trans business I have access to many company's, does anyone know what its out of?. SKF AUST strangely do not list the part number on their database here or in Singapore, neither do SKF NSW, but oddly enough a SKF reseller in Qld knows exactly what it is but there are none in Aust at the moment and no ETA for the next shipment....now work that one out!!! There is also another sprag on the Aust market that is unbranded and sells for nearly $300........surely it has to be from an auto trans. Anyone got any idea's?

I think I saw an interchange list either on Bevel Heads or this site.Think it was a Peugeot or Renault piece but don't hold me to it.
