Hey Martin,
The very early production 750GT had Contis with a slight taper to them but still had a cone that faced in.
In 1975 the 860s and others used a Lafranconi that had a cone that faced out but they were seamed silencers and looked nothing like a Conti.
The Darmahs from 1979 and up used a Silentium that the cone faced outward on. It was a smooth muffler that somewhat resembled a Conti.
I'm not aware of a Conti on our Bevel drives that had the cone facing outward.
Maybe one of the "Gurus" here will chime in and enlighten us.

Martin,
That is very interesting. It even has the part number for a left side Conti.
How about this? What does the bracket look like? That might help narrow this down.

Martin,
Can you take a photo of the bracket and a photo looking into the cone?

Martin, If you just won those on eBay then I guess I cost you some money. They are for the very ealiest production 750GT not for the MHR as listed. You can find them pictured in Falloon's books. Jordan P.S.-It was a lot more fun before ebay anonamized our handles, now I am c***e or sum such garbage instead of cafe*racer P.P.S.-I contacted seller about a second chance offer if the buyer??? backs out, well one can hope :) I thought they went rather cheap, but I didn't have the ready cash to go much higher. The reason I asked I own a set as well but as they are at Mums place some 1000km's away I used the pictures from that ebay listing
True things are simpler to find now than what they were 10 or so years ago , like you said garage and car boot sales were the go but now that Fleebay has corned the market some unbelievable price are being paid for parts and all due to everyone surfing looking for parts , Still I didnt think that they were overpriced at all
At least now we know what they are of, thanks for clearing that up for me
