Engine Identification

Post by harrlaw »

Purchased a narrowcase scrambler via Ebay 2 years ago. The engine # was DM250 8_____. Don't have the exact # in front of me but I my research has found one source that indicates a true scramble should have an enging # with "SC" as a preamble and the number sequence commence in the 90000 range. Anyone have more specific info on this. I fear my scrambler may have a std. 250 engine. I have seen other scr. adds that also had the non SC preamble and 800000 sequenced engine #'s, so now I am totally confused. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Pablo

The SC prefix is only used on factory racebikes and stands for
Scuderia Corse . Scrambler engines dont have a prefix
