??? Oil leak from swing arm bushes???

Post by Bumbler »

SO.... I've finally got this '82 Pantah running from parts that were dissassembled 10 years ago. I've sorted out varies problems and have been test riding the thing.

After some time running (static and in motion) it seems to develop a fine spray of oil onto the back wheel/swing arm.

Could this be the (what looks like brass) bushes that swing arm pivots off the engine, leaking oil?? Do these bushes then somehow connect with the crank case??

My question is: If this in fact this is the case can I just remove the back wheel/swing arm assemly to replace these bushes or do I need to pull the whole engine out (AHHHH....!!!!)

I am a ham-fisted half wit....need help
Bumbler.... '82 Pantah 600

Dan
most likely that the grease past its life span, use some good quality bearing grease that wont wash out and away you go
