125 ID
I look at a 125 yesterday for sale. The seller believes it to be a 1960. But he didnt know what model. The engine had DM125A stamped on it but the frame tag said 125B. The bike is painted red now but I think it was brown originally. It had a right hand heel-toe shift lever with a gear indicator on the engine case. Also had a tool box on the left side.

Well it sounds like you have found a 125 pushrod Ducati single! Now the real question is what sort of frame has it got, one with two front down tubes and a sump that sits down between the frame rails or a spine frame and no front down tubes.
I would expect it to have the former for a 1960 bike.

I have a 1958 98cc version of this bike and it is really good fun to ride, tops out at about 50mph. I managed to get myself and the girlfriend on it for the Lord Mayor of London's New Years day parade this year, chasing through Chelsea harbour on the way back we were off the edge of the tyres!
I have four of these bikes, two of which I have restored and one I am about to. The only real problem has been the big-end with worn pins and rollers, but we have that sorted ok.
You know you want to, go for it!
