Narrowcase and Widecase Parts Interchange

Post by Jim Malm »

Will the oil filler tube on a widecase engine work on the narrowcase motor? I have a 1965 Monza that's missing the tube and which has a broken oil plug/dipstick installed where the oil filler tube used to be. If you have a spare one of those laying around you might want to sell please let me know. Thanks!

I just "refound" the parts lists on Ducatimeccanica (sp?) and determined that the oil fillers tubes and plugs appear to be the same between wide and narrow case motors. Got one you want to sell?

Hi Jim
the sump on a widecase is wider . therefore the oil filler plug is longer
new ones are made in italie .
