Carb spitting up gas

Post by missrenaissance »

Just got my 160 back from the shop. My 300 buck bike now has a fully rebuilt engine and is now my 3k bike :/ it starts on the first kick, but hates idling and spits and coughs fuel out the carb at lower rpms. Any ideas what's going on?

I've got a carb kit on the way since that wasn't part of the rebuild, as well as a coil as the original looks pretty beat. Might be carb adjustment issues? It shouldn't be the timing since that was set during the rebuild and I trust the guy who did it (he took the engine all the way down since it was frozen).

Any ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the carb. ? , if you know the timing is on and engine is fresh there is not much else I could guess.
