Ducati 450 Mk 3 Valve Lifter Question

I am currently working on a 450 mark 3 and need a bit of help.

It has a valve lifter fitted but no cabling/levers.

Can anyone send me a pic or a good description of how/where the end of the valve lifter cable is anchored at the engine end ?

I have seen one pic of a restored one that shows the end of the cable going through a hole in one of the cooling fins of the rocker cover. However the rocker covers on mine don't have any holes, nor am I all that keen on starting to drill one out based on one pic alone.
