Bearing fit, how much interferance?

My gearbox input shaft case bearing is a very tight fit and tightens up,Its a c3 as spec and i have tried a spare with the same result, now getting technical to find the reason,if necessary may get the outer race reduced.

Hi Bob
i had the same problem once after some welding . i put in a C4 bearing
this one has a little more clearance

Hi Eldert. The problem was damage in the housing which i scraped out. All going back now. 860 GTS now lurking in the background needing contis and headlight .
