I have 10 different 250 springer cams. They all look alike. How can I tell the difference? Can I measure the lobe height?

Hi Rich
the real low performance cams like used in the Monza and Sebring had
screw adjuster rockerarms and a bigger groundcircle on the camshaft
something like 23 mm . the higher performance models had solid
rockers and winkle caps adjustmend for valve clearance . the groundcircle
of the cam is smaller to 21 mm . you can ID a cam by measuring valve
lift and looking at the lobe shape .
original all cams where color coded at the end with the thread but that
is gone most of the time
