Help Required with Bevel drive shaft.

Post by del »

Hello from Rainy Ireland.

I just completed a rebuild of a 350cc 1967 Sebring (on the bench still), but I'm not sure if there is a requirement or method of shimming the drive shaft bevel from the engine to the bevel on the rocker head. All of the timing is correct, but at present it seems a bit stiff to turn over the engine by hand, what can I do to check this (regarding the bevels) ?

I’m also looking to track down bearings for the head race, anyone know where to find these or what specification to use with todays standards?

Thanks
Del.
