What would cause gas to get in me oil?
What are the side effects?
Thanks,
Gas in my oil!

Fuel in oil
Sounds like you've left the fuel taps on (or the seals are leaking - they normally do) and the float valve in the carb isn't sealing properly. Replacement tap seals (and float valves) are available - including, I think, thru Steve ...?
The main effect is it dilutes the oil and washes the oil off the cylinder - not really desirable
In sufficient quantities, it can also cause hydraulic lock in the combustion chamber. This will stop you being able to turn the engine over on the kick start - or, if you have a twin/multi, bend a con-rod if the other pot fires... Eek!
