Camshaft Interchange.....

Post by dewjantim »

Will the cams on the later "reverse head" engines interchange with the older pantah motors ? Thinking about giving my Ally a little boost.....

Only the front head cams from 'reverse' head motors work. Which can be at times tricky to source as most dismantlers would be selling cams as a pair, ie front and rear together.
I managed to acquire a pair of ST2 front cams for my 605SL hot-rod, which I was told are pretty good for a mid-range boost. TT1/2 cams are great for the track but pretty inappropriate for 99% of road-riding.
I've also have some other cams (900SS I think) in the shed but I'm pretty sure I don't have 2 fronts.
Let me know if you want to know what cams I do have going spare.
