F1 newbie / Tail light lens

Post by mayoreric »

I am awaiting delivery of an F1A from OR that I want to put back on the street. However, it needs a taillight assembly. I have had no luck finding one on the interwebs. Does anyone know of a source? I know someone who can reproduce these items if a decent one could be found to serve as a template. . .

Tail Light Lens

Post by mayoreric »

By early SS, you mean 900SS 89-90 and 750 Sports 88-90?

Do you have these in stock by any chance?

BTW, I met Ing. Taglioni in Borgo Panigale back in 1989. Signed my jacket and a t-shirt.

See http://mayoreric.com/moto/851/Ducfac.html for some pictures.

I'm sorry I can;t remember which, or both....... Are they not the same?

Anyways, I looked through my folder for my F1 but can;t find my notes. Sorry.

Shouldn;t be too difficult to figure out by scouting the parts manuals. I did just order up the lens from my local ducati dealer though.

F1 Newbie: Decals

Post by mayoreric »

Steve

I notice that you have Cagiva-era decal sets for the F1. Does anyone produce the Giugiaro "Desmo 750 F1" decals for the tailpiece?

Eric

Tail Light Assembly

Post by mayoreric »

I lucked out and found a used one eBay. Since I am not going the trailer-queen concourse route (not that there is anything wrong with that!), I could live with a crack in the clear part that illuminates the license plate.

Try the local Ducati dealer. Since the assembly was used on variety of bikes they may be able to ordered in. The part number for the assembly is 067574100.

Hi Eric
Whe you say Giugario decals for 750 f1, do you mean the twin line letters.
I have a 750 F1 1986 with twin line letters and I bought a complete kit
from Road and Race, very good quality.

carl, yes that is what he needs, my sticker guy is making up a complete set now for him. Well actually, he is making the tail stickers for Eric, and complete sets for my inventory. I will have it posted in my shopping cart once I get them in my hands, they should be the same or nearly the same price as the other F1 sets I have already posted.
